Woody Sullender is a media artist and musician based in Queens, NY. As a music practitioner, his media works frequently build upon musical concerns straddling the live performance (the physical event) and the album (the mediated).

Sullender has performed internationally at venues such as the Kitchen, Issue Project Room (Brooklyn, NY), the River to River Festival, the Schindler House (Los Angeles), Knockdown Center (NYC), Sculpture Center (NYC), Abrons Art Center (NYC), Les Instants Chavirés (Paris), Chicago Cultural Center, DNK-Amsterdam (with Seamus Cater), and many others. He has worked with a diverse range of artists including Maryanne Amacher, Pauline Oliveros, Bruce McClure, Sergei Tcherepnin, Ei Arakawa, C. Spencer Yeh, Okkyung Lee, Fred Lonberg-Holm's Lightbox Orchestra, and members of Yarn/Wire. His work has been reviewed internationally by such widely disparate publications as Wire Magazine, Art in America, Fast Company, and Maximumrocknroll.

Among other activities, he is founding co-editor (will Bill Dietz) of the sonic arts publication Ear Wave Event.
